Dear Friend,
If you’re holding this book, chances are life hasn’t gone the way you hoped it would. Maybe addiction has taken
more than you ever imagined. Maybe you’ve lost relationships, opportunities, trust, or even your freedom.
Perhaps you’re carrying guilt, shame, fear, or the weight of believing you’ll never truly change.
I want you to know something before you read another page:
There is hope.
Not because of positive thinking. Not because of willpower. Not because of another program.
There is hope because of Jesus Christ.
I did not write Recovery Through Christ™ as a theory or as an academic study. It was born through years of walking alongside men and women in addiction, serving in correctional facilities, working in peer recovery, case management, chaplaincy, and witnessing the transforming power of God’s Word in real lives.
Like many others, I know what it is like to face brokenness, regret, and the consequences of poor choices. I also know the incredible mercy of a Savior who does not leave us where He finds us. Jesus Christ is still changing lives today, and I believe He desires to change yours as well.
Recovery is about more than becoming sober. It is about becoming whole. It is about allowing God to rebuild every area of your life—your mind, your relationships, your purpose, and your walk with Him.
Throughout this guide, you will find biblical truth, practical recovery principles, opportunities for honest self- examination, and challenges that encourage real growth. Some lessons may be difficult. Others may bring healing.
My prayer is that every page points you closer to Jesus Christ, because lasting freedom is found in Him. This journey is not meant to be walked alone. Lean on your group, your mentors, your family, your church, and those God has placed around you. Ask questions. Be honest. Stay teachable. Most importantly, never stop pursuing Christ.
No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, your story is not over.
Thank you for allowing Titus Recovery Group to walk beside you on this journey. It is an honor to serve you, and I pray that one day your testimony will encourage someone else to believe that freedom is possible through Jesus Christ.
